The Motorola DEFY, as the name suggests, is not afraid to be dropped, scratched (Gorilla Glass), used in a sand storm, or submersed in water up to 3 feet (1 meter). It is powered by Android 2.1, it has a 3.7" touch display, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, microSDHC card slot and speakerphone.
The Motorola Defy uses a rechargeable li-ion battery. The original battery code is SNN5877 and BF5X. Rated at 1540mAh, it is claimed by Motorola that this battery can support Defy for up to 400 minutes talktime or up to 400 hours standby. As tested by Slashgear, in normal use, with push-email turned on, it managed a full day of use with some browsing, calls and messaging.
